It is Kazakhstan’s incredible apple forests growing wild on the mountainsides above its former capital city, Almaty, that inspired the creation of Almaty Cider.
Our delicious sparkling cider is produced from a carefully selected blend of Kazakh apples, including the Malus Siversii wild apple. Native to Kazakhstan, Siversii is the first apple, from which all the other apple varieties around the world are descended.
Found on the slopes of the Tian Shan mountain range, known as, “The Heavenly Mountains”, in  South Kazakhstan, we have found its properties and taste characteristics to be perfect for cider.
We only use fresh apple juice for our cider, which goes through two separate fermentation processes. We let it mature for a minimum of six months to let the flavours fully develop.
Slightly sweet with refreshing acidity, this sparkling cider has a bright, clean finish. It
compliments all types of food, but pairs especially well with Asian cuisine, fish, meat and cheese
